Initial Disclosure Document

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is the independent regulator of financial services. The FCA legally require us to provide you with an ‘Initial Disclosure Document’ to help you decide if our services are right for you. This Document has a number of purposes, one of which is to ensure you are provided with essential information about us as a company, what we charge for our services, the products and services we offer and who regulates us. It will also provide information on what you should do if you have a complaint and details regarding the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.

We provide broker services to customers and work with our finance partners in order to find a suitable vehicle lease agreement for our customers. As an FCA regulated credit broker we are able to introduce you to a range of finance providers who may be able to help you finance your vehicle and provide any other products/services that you may require. We work with some of the UK’s most prominent and trusted finance providers in order to help secure you the best and most appropriate deal. All the products are optional.

We will take steps to ensure that, in the course of advising you, we will only make a recommendation that will be suitable for your demands and needs at the time that the recommendation is made. In assessing your requirements, we may seek personal information about your circumstances and objectives as might be relevant in order to enable us to identify your exact needs and establish a line of credit. It is always important that you provide us with accurate and relevant information so that we can try and find a product or agreement that is most suitable for you.

As part of the process of obtaining finance for your vehicle we will need to pass your details on to one or more of our finance/insurance providers. A list of these partners is available on request together with their Consumer Credit Licence numbers. Any organisation approached to arrange credit will need to undertake credit searches with a credit reference agency which could affect your credit rating. All our calls are recorded for training and monitoring purposes.

At Rapid Vans Leasing Limited we do not charge any administration fees. We may receive a commission or other benefits from finance providers should you decide to enter into an agreement with the finance provider we have introduced you to.

As an organisation we are committed to treating our customers fairly, before, during and after a sale.

Before the sale you can expect:

  • To have any significant and unusual exclusions or exceptions to the policy brought to your attention.
  • A clear statement of price, including where applicable a breakdown of any interest charges.
  • Details of your cancellation rights and our complaints procedure.
  • Copies of your policy documentation or information as to when these documents will be dispatched.

After the sale you can expect:

  • Not to encounter any barriers to cancelling your policy within regulatory agreed timeframes.
  • To have any complaint dealt with in a timely and professional manner.

To help us resolve your problem, you should provide the following information:

  • Your full name and contact information
  • Full details of your complaint

We will acknowledge Your complaint within five working days, and provide a full copy of the Complaints Procedure. In certain circumstances, if we cannot settle your complaint to your satisfaction, you have the right to refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service within six months. The FOS provides a mechanism for resolving disputes which is a simple, informal and accessible alternative to the courts. You may also be entitled to compensation from the Scheme if we are unable to meet our obligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim.
